PowerPoint Training Session for Metrix Consulting
Metrix Consulting is a Strategic Insights Consultancy. They recently contacted Slidesho to organise an online training session with seven staff members including their in-house graphic designer.
Our brief was to create a bespoke course for a team that was interested in general tips and tricks; time-saving ideas for efficient charting; formatting in general but also of charts/graphs; overall presentation design of slides and charts as well as the inclusion of some advice around slide masters.
Based on the brief, Slidesho prepared a 90-minute session to be delivered via Zoom that included:
Visualisations tips (use of images, icons, diagrams and infographics)
Layout and formatting tips (use of white space, rule of three for layouts, the alignment tool, time-saving format painter tool, etc.)
Making adjustments to the masters
And finally, a 30-minute live demonstration taking the team through the steps a designer takes to do a makeover on one of their own presentations.

CA Catalyst (the innovation arm of Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand) appointed Slidesho to design a PowerPoint template and marketing presentation.
The presentation had to serve two purposes; as a PowerPoint presentation to be viewed on screen and also as a file to be shared via email to large groups of people. In addition, the presentation was also of importance as it was to be presented to a global accounting membership body.
Adhering to the client’s brief, Slidesho worked on a presentation makeover that resulted in a stunningly visual new suite of template masters, and a future focused presentation that lifted the visual identity of CA Catalyst. The design called for a strong visual focus on key brand descriptors including future, dynamic and ahead of the curve. As a result, the images selected for the presentation not only had to convey this, but they also had to work seamlessly with the CA Catalyst branding and colour palette.

Tradiecore is a new job management app that allows small trade businesses to become more efficient and time effective. With Tradiecore, users can create quotes, invoices and manage customers on the go. Tradiecore are part of hipages Group, whose purpose is to be the most trusted partner in the trade industry.
Slidesho was approached to create a standout introduction to Ukufu via a promotional animated video. The video was required to provide a clear overview of Ukufu’s features, benefits, and overall capabilities.
Before creating the presentation, Slidesho consulted closely with the client to ensure we had a clear understanding of the key fundamentals that needed to be featured. Our job was to promote and highlight everything of relevance into the short duration of a 60-second video, while also making it visually impactful. Part of the brief was to also include a narration with an American accent which meant working with the client to develop the script.
As a result, Slidesho delivered a succinct animated video that effectively conveyed our client’s key messages, was easy to digest and simple to follow. The animated presentation was created entirely in PowerPoint, with the addition of the voice-over. The voice-over was then synched to the animations and exported as a movie file ready for upload on platforms such as Vimeo, YouTube or the client’s website. We also created a much smaller file to allow for sharing of the video by smartphone.

A new suite of PowerPoint templates for Tradiecore
Slidesho was approached by an FMCG industry client to create a full design package for their annual conference. The purpose of the event was to showcase research findings with a focus on their key consumers and to bring these key segments to life in a number of ways.
The scope of the work was extensive and included collateral material such as the creation of large-scale posters, pull-up banners, information booklets, and a comprehensive PowerPoint presentation complete with voice-over, background music, video clips and animation.
While we at Slidesho prefer to focus on presentation design, there are times when we will also prepare collateral for print, particularly when there is a theme running through the entire project.
The client wanted to make a ‘big impact’ and really ‘bring the occasions to life’. With this in mind, Slidesho delivered an impressive package as follows:
Large-scale posters: A set of 10 x A1 posters were designed in-house by the Slidesho team and then printed externally on 200 gsm photo semi-gloss finish and delivered to the client the day before the event. Each poster was colour coded and followed a design theme that was specifically created for the event.
Pull-up banners: A set of 10 x 150cm tall pull-up banners were designed in-house by the Slidesho team and then printed externally on 150 gsm on tear resistant synthetic polypropylene banner material, trimmed and installed on banner stands. These were delivered to the client the day before the event. Once again, the pull-up banners were colour coded and followed a design theme that was specifically created for the event.
Information booklets: A 48-page booklet was designed in-house by the Slidesho team and then printed externally on 150 gsm silk paper, which was scored, folded, saddle stitched and trimmed. Once again, these were designed in line with the look and feel of the event and were intended as take-home information snippets of the event’s key information.
PowerPoint Presentation with Voice-Over: And finally, the showstopper, the PowerPoint presentation which was converted to video for a seamless show on the day of the event. The presentation included background music, video clips, a carefully written script and voice-over narration synced perfectly to the information being displayed on the screen as well as subtle animations and transitions.
The end product successfully brought to life the key consumers in a clear and memorable manner.

Slidesho was provided with Tradiecore’s new brand book and asked to create a presentation template for both PowerPoint and Google Slides. Our challenge was to incorporate their beautiful new assets into an easy-to-use template, with title slides in various colour-ways and customised image placeholders that automatically adjust to the correct shape and placement.
The result was a stunning set of masters, strongly branded and simple to use. These were then adapted for Google Slides. We used semi-transparent layers, to create a similar effect as that which was created in PowerPoint, with custom placeholders that are not available on Google Slides.

Greenhills Wealth Management approached Slidesho for the purpose of designing an educational and promotional video presentation with voice over on the financial services industry, one which educates the viewer on investing in the share market.
Using PowerPoint, Slidesho created a professional video with animations and transitions that not only adhered to the clients brief and branding guidelines, but also perfectly correlated with the script provided by the client.
In addition, Slidesho utilised the services of a voice over talent expert who provided the voice for the client’s narrative.

Propertied reached out to Slidesho for the purpose of having two digital brochures created to promote the launch of their new business platform.
While adhering to Propertied’s brand guidelines, Slidesho designed two, double page, A4 e-brochures with fresh, clean designs and simple to follow information that were also perfectly aligned with Propertied’s new website.
This project highlights the versatility of PowerPoint given that both e-brochures were created entirely in PowerPoint.

Blackhawk Network first approached Slidesho for the purpose of doing a presentation makeover and redesigning their Ultimate Gift Card range deck to enable them to promote their new concept cards to new card partner brands, as well as explain the product, how it works, the benefits and next steps.
By adhering to Blackhawk’s brand guidelines, Slidesho worked on the full presentation makeover and created a design that not only looked eye-catching but more importantly successfully conveyed our client’s intended message by incorporating relatable imagery, product information and a meaningful customer journey with iconography to suit the brand.
